What is the thrie beam guardrail / crash beam barrier?

Thrie Beam crash barrier is a standard guardrail panel designed to keep errant vehicles on the roadway. Its three-wave cross-sectional design provides greater strength and durability than the two-wave W-Beam rails. This robust construction results in higher impact endurance, making Thrie Beam especially suitable for transitional areas like bridge approaches.

What must the top rail of guardrail system be within plus or minus 3 inches of?

According to OSHA requirements, the top edge height of guardrail systems must be 42 inches, plus or minus 3 inches, above the walking or working surface. This means the top rail must be between 39 and 45 inches high. In certain situations, the height may exceed 45 inches, provided the guardrail system meets all other specified criteria.
